Cool-tip RF Ablation System

Cool-tip™ RF Ablation System Technology

12-minute Treatment Cycle

The finite element analysis below shows how the Cool-tip™ RF ablation system effectively delivers pulsed energy to ablate tissue with different impedances. The internal electrode cooling mechanism keeps the temperature of the tissue around the electrode low, allowing the electrode to drive more energy into the tissue without the need to increase power. During the ablation cycle, the generator’s impedance feedback system senses maximum energy deposition into the lesion and uses pulsing to keep the energy output at its optimal level. The generator automatically shuts off at the end of the 12-minute ablation cycle.
